So why did you guys get an Impala?  It seems like everyone has one nowadays.  There's a good reason for that.  Every Chevy I've ever owned always had that "good solid car, but not quite as refined as the other GM divisions" type of vibe to it.  Not this Impala!  Man, Chevy stepped up their game when they came out with the Impala.   Sure, it's placed in the model lineup where the Lumina used to be, but the difference between the old Loomie and the Impala is like night and day!!!  This is one solid, well put together vehicle.  If you blindfolded me and took me for a ride in it, I would have sworn it was a Buick.  Chevy has always been GM's "value" division, putting less content in their cars so they can sell them for thousands less than the competition, and it showed in the fit and finish, as well as cabin noise.  Well, the Impala isn't a typical Chevy, and for that I am very impressed.

I would consider this car a "stripper" model because it doesn't have all the fancy options that the Impala LS and SS models have, but it still has more "toys" than our old Lumina did.

As of 3/24/2007, this is my daily driver.  We purchased it in March 2005 with 22,000 miles.

Here's why I used to call it the "IMPALER" :
